Staci Gruber

Dr. Staci Gruber
Dr. Staci Gruber, Cannabis Center of Excellence Scientific Advisor
Dr. Staci Gruber, PhD, is a distinguished researcher and educator renowned for her contributions to the fields of neuroscience, psychiatry, and substance use. As the Director of the Cognitive and Clinical Neuroimaging Core and the Marijuana Investigations for Neuroscientific Discovery (MIND) program at McLean Hospital, as well as an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Gruber's work focuses on understanding the impact of cannabis on the brain and behavior. With a background in cognitive neuroscience and extensive expertise in neuroimaging techniques, she investigates the effects of marijuana use on cognitive function, brain structure, and psychiatric conditions. Dr. Gruber has been instrumental in founding and directing the MIND program, which conducts groundbreaking research on medical cannabis use and its effects on various health outcomes. Additionally, she serves as a Scientific Advisor for the Cannabis Center of Excellence, providing valuable guidance and insights to inform research and policy initiatives in the field of cannabis science and regulation. Through her multidisciplinary approach and dedication to advancing scientific knowledge, Dr. Staci Gruber continues to make significant contributions to understanding the complexities of cannabis use and its implications for mental health and well-being.

Dr. Steven White

Scientific Advisor

Dr. White is a seasoned professor of marketing and international business at the Charlton College of Business, where he has served since 1998. With a wealth of experience in academia, he held key leadership roles within the department of management and marketing, including chairperson from January 2006 to May 2010. Subsequently, he directed the university's sustainability studies program, overseeing the development and launch of the graduate certificate in sustainable development from June 2010 to June 2012. Dr. White's commitment to global engagement is evident through his coordination of over 200 students on alternative spring break missions to 24 cities across 15 countries, fostering cultural exchange and service-learning experiences. Additionally, he has facilitated trade missions in collaboration with the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment (MOITI). Prior to his academic career, Dr. White held diverse roles, including vice president of an advertising agency, event management, retail management in outdoor sporting goods stores, and alpine ski instruction. His multifaceted background enriches his teaching and research endeavors, positioning him as a dynamic leader in business education. Notably, Dr. White has been recognized for his expertise and has been featured in various publications.
